Art Inspired

Islamic art has never ceased to impress me and the more I explore the more I am in awe of its detailing, geometry and inclusion of calligraphy within art.

There are many reasons for this kind of art...primarily that Muslims are restricted from drawing images of living forms and this gave way to exploring a different form of art that included organisation of shapes and exploring whole lot of options within it. It is also said to constitute an infinite pattern that extends beyond the visible material world..

So, we have experimented some of these ideas and this is what we have come up with

Hope you guys like it :)

Not giving up!

You know those times..when you are so passionate about doing something in life...
And you do...
But it ends up in a disaster. You think you have made alright stuff...or designed alright..and then comes the result time...when you are judged...and how you take it defines how you will design your way ahead in life...
We face the worst kind of criticism...believe me when I tell you...literally the worst kind!
So bad that it can crash your dreams at once. But guess what...you know what helps?
All those encouragement from your family, friends, well wishers....
Then there were friends...open supporters, silent spectators....thanks to all...that in a way has built up my confidence.
I really want to mention my hubby...Faraaz has not only been my best critic with giving me positive criticism..he has been my constant support. Always encouraging me with the "c'mon it's okay. You can't stop trying.."
And so I kept designing...one after the other....silliest of the silliest designs I could imagine...some happened to click fine with people....(uuuhhh--Alhamdulillah)
But majority went unnoticed and they lie dumped in my carton where I have personally rejected my designs.
The whole point here is never give up...if you really want to...'coz what you want shall be achieved.
And when that is achieved...atleast I won't forget my first silly design...
