I was totally excited for this Invitation. My friend wanted something really special for her wedding invitation. As per her wish it would be a scroll. Since she wanted it to be really elegant, royal and subtle, she wanted only one such invite to be made that would be given to the groom's side. So this was only one invite I made...I might not do that again without a bulk order.. As with this order I have taken a step further and might not do single invites. There are losses that incur and I sure dont want that in future. But yeah, we can have one really special invite with the rest being casual invites. This can be surely considered as an option.
Back to the scroll....Considering the fact that she wanted something royal we went with velvet and the colour purple...slightly towards the pink side. It was ofcourse her choice. So purplish pink was decided. We decided to use lace on the box...It wasnt until the end that it got it's right place :)

Now the printing part. I first experimented with gold ink..it looked pretty ok. But silver changed the look alltogther. So I went with silver. Just so that it didnt resemble the regular scroll I used only one scroll stick at the top. Towards down it got a U shape and that made all the difference. The lace also finally got its place!
Here how it looked on completion.
The golden ribbon and stone studded ring was used after rolling up the scroll and securing it in a box. We almost went on a 'hunt' for the box. We wanted a wooden one and that...either won't fit in our budget or the scroll wouldn't fit in the box! But out of nowhere my friend surfaced with this box which had the exact velvet texture and colour to that of scroll.. So no credits to me for the box!
I had to nail the lace inside the box as fevicol didnt work. Fevicryl to an extent proved helpful on the outside.
So this is how it is..
And this is how my friend plans to send it to her bridegroom!
I totally enjoyed making this invite! Thanks Mona for this opportunity!
